Winter Faire – Volunteer Packets
Hello DMS Community,
Our school Winter Faire is just around the corner on December 8th.
Below you will find information and requests to make this year’s Winter Faire successful. This is an event to come together as a community and enjoy not only the spirit of the holiday season but support our teachers and school. It is also our main Parent Council fundraiser to support teacher training. Last year the Winter Faire was a great success, allowing PC to provide funds for teacher training, the Hope and Health Committee to support DMS students facing food insecurity along with supporting all of our Community Social events throughout the year!!
Attached is the Winter Faire Volunteer Packet. Hard copies are coming home with your students this week.
What each family can do to support this event:
- Work 1 shift of our classroom booth.
- Work 1-2 shifts in addition to your booth shift
- Donate 10 (unwrapped) items to the Angel Room – Find donation ideas in the back of the Volunteer Packet
- Donate 10 (unwrapped) gender neutral items to the Fish Pond – Find donation ideas in the back of the Volunteer Packet
A note on the Angel Room, it is a place where the children can go in by themselves and purchase items as gifts for family or friends. Please keep that in mind when creating or buying those, ‘handmade’ gifts. What would a mom, dad and child like?
Angel Room and Fish Pond donations should be valued of at least $1. Homemade or purchased, sturdy, and should not be specific to any one holiday. You will find donation ideas in the back of the Volunteer Packet.
Please take a moment to review the Winter Faire Volunteer Packet. More information on our class booth will be coming from your Class Representative.
Thank you in advance for your support in making this year’s Winter Faire a success!!
