The class 12 play is one of the artistic and social highlights of a Waldorf high school education. Every 12th grade produces and performs a full-scale theatrical production before the school community as part of their core curriculum. The play selected is chosen to meet the interests and talents of the class performing it. Whether acting in a lead or supporting role or working behind the scenes as a costume, set, lighting designer or technician, each member of the class carries creative responsibility for the success of the production.

This year the DMS High School seniors are presenting a comedy success, called You Can’t Take It With You. An eccentric family allows each member to pursue his own ambition in the home, but their routine is disrupted when a daughter with a regular job wants to bring her fiancé and his Wall Street family to dinner in George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart’s Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy.

The 12th graders are dedicated to this grand production. They spend hours rehearsing and creating set designs and costumes. Please support the seniors and see this drama full of laughter and surprises. Directed by Speech Artist and Drama Teacher, Kim Snyder-Vine, and produced by the senior class.

12th Grade Class seeking Practice Space for Senior Play

DMS families,

We are asking for your help. Our seniors are in need of a space that is the size of two classrooms combined, where they can practice their play from 9 am to 2 pm Monday through Friday, from Monday April 15th through to Friday May 3rd.

If anyone knows of a space we could use free of cost that would work for our needs, please let me know. They will be setting up a few props and a minor set (nothing like the boat we had as our set for the HS musical).

They will, of course, have constant adult supervision while in the play practice space.

Please contact Crystal at the HS office through email if you know of a space at

Thank you!

Senior Project Presentations – Feb 6 & 7

Dear DMS Community,
Every year, based on their interests, each senior undertakes an independent research project that culminates in a presentation. Seniors strengthen skills that last a lifetime—including the ability to think for themselves and work on their own.
Please mark your calendars for next week on February 6th and 7th to come watch this year’s Senior Projects. They are being held at 6:30 pm, in Parzival Hall (the Eurythmy Room.)
The seniors have been working diligently to prepare for this event, and welcome your support.
Hope to see you there!

Senior Class Go Fund Me Campaign

The DMS High School Class of 2019 has set up a Go Fund Me campaign to help raise funds for their Senior Class Trip.

The 12th graders are appreciative of any amount you are able to contribute. The goal is to raise $5,000.

Please spread the word with friends, family, and of course share the link on social media! The more people we can get involved, the better. This is a great Christmas gift to give your senior, in lieu of gifts.

Contribute to the Grade 12 Fund Here

Thank you for helping to support our Senior Class so they can make it to their goal.
