Extracurriculars, Special Fees & Fundraisers
At Desert Marigold School, we offer a rich variety of extracurricular activities to complement our Waldorf-inspired curriculum. These programs are designed to nurture the whole child, fostering creativity, physical well-being, and social skills outside the traditional classroom setting.
While we strive to keep costs minimal as a charter school, some activities may incur additional fees to cover materials, equipment, or specialized instruction. These fees are kept as low as possible to ensure accessibility for all students.
Special fees may apply to:
Field trips and overnight excursions
Special art supplies
Instrument rentals for music classes
Special workshops or guest instructor sessions
Materials for handwork and craft projects
Supplies for gardening activities
Equipment for sports and movement classes
KinderCare and AfterCare Programs
We are committed to transparency in our fee structure and will provide detailed information about any additional costs at the beginning of each school year or program. Financial assistance may be available for families demonstrating need, as we believe every child should have the opportunity to participate fully in our enriching programs.
For specific fee information or questions about our extracurricular activities, please contact our school office.

We hope this message finds you well. As part of our ongoing efforts to provide the best possible experience for our students, we are updating our enrollment and payment procedures for our after-school programs, including KinderCare, Book Club, and Homework Club.
Effective immediately, all families must sign up and submit payment for these programs by the 15th of the month prior to enrollment in order to secure your child’s spot for the following month.
Here’s how it works:
Sign Up and Pay Online: All registrations and payments must be completed via via the links below by the 15th of each month.
No Late Enrollment: If payment is not received by the 15th, your child will not be enrolled in the program for the upcoming month.
Monthly Process: This will be a recurring monthly requirement. To ensure your child’s continued participation, you will need to sign up and submit payment by the deadline each month.
Past Due Balances: If you currently have a past due balance for any of these programs, please note that the balance must be paid in full before your child will be eligible for enrollment in the month requested. Any payments made will be applied towards the past due balance and will not count toward enrollment. Without payment of any outstanding balances, your child will not be enrolled in the programs for the upcoming month.
This new policy is essential for ensuring that we can plan, staff, and run our programs efficiently based on accurate enrollment numbers. We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to streamline this process for the benefit of all students.
If you have any questions or need assistance with registration or payment, please don’t hesitate to contact us at dmsaccounts@desertmarigold.org.
Thank you for your cooperation.
